MEGATRON GETS TANKED

Last week MTV essentially reran a story we ran months ago, but with different sources: yes, the villain in Transformers 2 is The Fallen, the Satan equivalent Transformer from the recent comic books. Now I'm coming at you with new TF2 news: Megatron is coming back.
OK, I don't think there's a soul out there who will be surprised when Megatron returns in Transformers 2*. If the current incarnation of the script follows the beats of a previous incarnation (which did not feature The Fallen), Megatron may be getting brought back by the Autobots, who need him to conquer the new menace. But I've learned that this time he won't be that weird alien jet. This time he's a tank.
Megatron apparently was a tank in the Transformers Generation 2 comic or toys or something (I don't know, I just looked it up on Wikipedia and I still don't get it), so this has some precedent. I imagine this is as close as we'll get to seeing him be a gun, since the movies appear to eschew the sort of size shifting antics that the comics and cartoons embraced.
*Assuming the damn movie even gets finished with Shia's hand injury and general problems.

So basically they are bringing back a different version of Unicron? and the Autobots need to get the all spark back from Megatron's body to be powerful enough to defeat him before he can eat earth?
Call me silly, but I think they should have tried as hard to move away from the G1 storylines as they did to move away from the G1 character imaes.

If you don't get the Megatron tank, then you never were nor will you ever be a Transformers fan. The story is simple even Wikipedia has it answered for you, but you probably can't read that well anyway. Wikipedia says "He collaborated with the terrorist organization Cobra to defeat Autobots". Now if that is hard to understand you need to stop writing articles and stick to trolling image boards. Because it is people like you that bring down the quality of online reporting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers_Generation_2_(comic) That is the article on the Generation 2 comics that a real reporter would have looked up as a source.

Hard-hitting journalism is what's needed. If Megatron collaborated with a terrorist organization, we need to know about it before the media attempt to rehabilitate yet another washed-up alien rowbut. Enough with this Rashomon-like relativism marketed to kids as toys! I don't know what to believe anymore! A rowbut cannot be both a tank and a gun, for it is an abomination unto the Lord. Yea, verily unless it be one of those triple changers. Says so in Leviticus.
