First of all, I should say that the Chinese vampire flick entitled "Mr. Vampire" is one of the best movies of all time. Absolutely fantastic. However, Chinese vampires sure do hop. And I just can't imagine Dracula, and especially not Desmond, viewing such things with the same delight that I do. Of course, I'm no nosferatu. But they really do hop for all you doubters out there. Check out Wikipedia even. I'll go change it now.
