Everything you might expect from a Mummy teaser is featured in this brand new Mummy teaser: ancient artifacts, armies of the undead, Brendan Fraser ably mugging and quipping. It's like Stephen Sommers never left the franchise.
'Twas Stealth's Rob Cohen called the shots on The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and, given all the CG mayhem and karate-ing, he's actually a more-than-ideal replacement: most of his movies have been f/x heavy (see: Stealth), while his first directorial effort, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, featured some surprisingly well-staged fight sequences. And I'm sure if he could've got the talking homicidal jet from Stealth to throw hands/wings with Josh Lucas, he would've done it (thus expanding the language of cinema to an extent not seen since the Odessa Steps sequence from The Naked Gun 33 1/3).
So take a gander, and know that your kids are going to be all over your shit to see this thing when it drops on August 1st.
