It really is.

MCP: SUCH A MADWORLD... FOR THE WII

Just watch:

And then realize that the game is coming out for the Wii. Resident Evil, Manhunt, No More Heroes, and now Madworld... who says the system is for kids?

Madworld has a Running Man or Smash TV story of sorts, where you control a guy named Jack in a violent TV show. The Wii Remote will of course be used to perform all the brutal acts of ultraviolence. I wonder if any controversy will spawn from parents seeing their kids play this one... because as violent as it is, it's obviously tongue in cheek and played for laughs more than anything. Gotta love the Sin City style as well.

The game is being developed by PlatinumGames, a group comprised of some ex-members of Clover Studios (Okami). This is going to be the first of three new Sega titles for them. There will also be a game by Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya called Bayonetta that will be an action title for the Xbox 360 and PS3 (trailer below), and another with the working title of Infinite Line that's an RPG set in outerspace. Can't wait to see what these fellows get up to.
