Good Day!Every Monday - Friday I'll be syndicating a page from one of several comic books I've been working on for the past year as CHUD's redesign came together [yeah, still working on that] in an effort to make the site also be a haven for creative stuff that's not just us talking about movies and stuff but a place to share new stuff that lives its own life. Stuff like my [hated] comic strip. Stuff like CHUDstories [anyone want to spearhead that?]. Stuff like the Podcast [which will be available to listen to directly off the site next week]. Stuff like some upcoming things we'll be working on.
And stuff like these comic books, which will run on CHUD.com for the duration of their lives [and hopefully see print sooner than later]. You'll be seeing the comic books PAIN, The Crawl, The Bridger Adventures, This Hollow World, and possibly a few others.
Today, we feature The Bridger Adventures, written by myself and Steve Murphy, drawn and lettered by Matt Kimble, with layout by Simon O. Wright. I'm going to treat this like the Sid & Marty Krofft and alternate between titles each day to showcase the variety and allow the storylines to unfold at their own pace. I really hope you like 'em. Also, I have hundreds of these pages done so don't be worried that this will disappear.

What is going on in the first panel? Does it have any connection to page 1 at all?

I haven't weighed in much on why the talkback's are bad, but I think the above comment is a pretty good representative of where they might be going. This will probably not make sense, since I'm sure Nick will delete the comment, but sheesh.

I like that the website is expanding its content. Although, I tend to agree that the one page at a time is somewhat of a mistake. What helps make up for the mistake is the link to the previous page.
Storywise so little really happens on a comic page. We're really treated to about a paragraph, maybe two, each week. It's hard to truly judge content based on such a small sample. Though for this adventure, I happened to like the atmosphere created in the panels. The atmosphere went a long way in helping the lack of actual content.
It's really just a cool thing to create a comic. To me, pacing would be the biggest issue. How many panels do you want to fit on a page, and how slowly or quickly do you want the story on any given page to progress.
All in all, this appears to be a very cool chud experiment. I look forward to any future pages.

Cool - you've added links. Good work on that nice window-shadow frame, artist dude.

In the first chapter there was a flash forward, a flash back and I think there was even a flash sideways!---Elizabeth Farmer

Its obvious why all these comics are on this site. What genre of movies bring in the biggest bucks? COMIC BOOK MOVIES!!! Its extremely smart to put this comics on this site. That way when a director or producer takes a look at this site he/she might take a look at it and want to produce it. Very smart, VERY SMART!
