HE STILL WANTS TO BELIEVE

It warms my heart to know that out there in this rough and tumble, increasingly corporatized Interwebbing Superinformation Tubeway there are still people diligently updating their fansites for Mitch Pileggi. This, people, is why Al Gore gave us this series of tubes, and we should never forget it. I'm not kidding - I really do love the weird fansites.
And somebody else does too, as mitchpileggi.net has snagged three new photos from the upcoming X-Files movie. They're not really interesting photos, per se, but since we used to run a story every time somebody farted in the vicinity of a rumor about making a new X-Files movie, let's celebrate that one is in the can and on the way to theaters this summer. I'm psyched.
Above you can see one of the pics, which reveals (spoilers!) that Mulder still has that old 'I Want To Believe' poster. I thought all his stuff got burned up or something (too lazy to check the Wikipedia episode guide; someone tell me if I'm right in the comments), so I guess he hit up allposters.com at some point. Click here to see the other two pictures, both of which are sadly Pileggi-free.

So far, so meh. I think I need to see more about this to make up my mind about catching it in the theatre.

To answer your question, Mulder's poster was saved from the fire which consumed his office in episode 6.12.

And didn't Agent Dogget roll up the poster in the final episode? That would explain why it's all wrinkled.

Horace Pinker was in the X-Files? Hmm, maybe I should have watched some episodes of that inane show... on second thought, thank heavens I didn't.

I would like to see John Dogget in an x-files movie sometime in the future, doesn't have to be a lead role but something would be nice. i quit watching when moulder left for awhile and the starting watching again during the end of the last season. i use to refuse to watch it if it didn't have moulder but when i later saw the dogget episodes i discovered that dogget was actually a pretty alright guy and it's not his fault that double d had to take time off to do "playing god" or whatever. so yeah i like dogget, i know alot of people might not but whatever. p.s. his name is the noise an old man makes when he's tries to tie his shoes but he can't because his arthritis. "john doggit!!"

A Mitch Pileggi fansite with no mention of Day Break? Garbage!

I thought that in the episode "Alpha", featuring a Chinese werewolf (if I remember correctly) some crippled woman gave Mulder a new copy of his poster which was burned at the end of some season finale. Or is that what comment #2 refers to? Anyways, I have that poster in my bedroom, framed and glorious!

Reagan is right. Mulder's original poster was burned in the fire started by Spender at the end of season 5. He got a similar, black and white version of the poster from that woman in Alpha.

Sweet. I never really thought about how excited I'd be about another x-files movie, but I think in this case absence definately made the heart grow fonder. How will they explain why Skully looks so much hotter now than ever? Anybody else check her out in Last King of Scotland?
The one thing I gather from these flicks, is that they are definitely going for detail
between that poster and the subtle X on Skully's jacket. Here's to hoping this movie is as good as fans hope for.
