I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later, but I guess I assumed we would have a couple more weeks before the Indy IV television-marketing blitz began to fire up its engine. As it so often happens, my assumption was wrong, and a new TV spot hit the Web this weekend. This means that for the next two months the Paramount marketing machine is going to beat us over the head with/shove down our throats/ anally rape us with slightly different spots playing during every commercial break for everything we watch.
There isn’t a whole lot of new stuff in here, but there is new stuff, which is why it’s newsworthy. I don’t have anything else to say.
Here it is in HD, and those without awesome computers can check out this smaller version.

Why am I gritting my teeth and choking on bile reading your simple intro for the Indy trailer? I guess I hate you just that much. Fire this clown!

Looks good and all, but the font on the title is all messed up.

"shove down our throats/ anally rape us"..... Now you know how those kids in your basement, er, I mean your parents basement, feel. Indy won't be rescuing them though. Maybe he'll find the relics of their corpses next to your E.T. BMX bike.

Christ, don't try so hard. You aren't Nick.

I'm finally starting to understand all of the Owen whining. I usually don't look at the names of the writers before I read an article. Nick has a very distinct writing style, Devin's articles are always well-written and usually pretty clever and Jeremy is completely capable, if lacking in outright style. But with an Owen article, my eyes just slide off the screen. I'm completely willing to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, and I admire him for trying, but I've tried reading some of his intros 4 or 5 times, and I just can't focus on it enough to make it through a paragraph. It's like some eerie stealth technology.

Owen-
Your ideas aren't terrible, but you need better editing. At least for the sake of clarity. And please drop any anal-rape reference. Who are you trying to be anyway? Harry Knowles?

What's with all the phil hate? Isn't it far more palpable then jeremy's constant referencing and extremely clouted writing style?

Yeah guys, exactly, and wasn't RCA's sentence structure a little confusing. I had to read it twice only to find out it wasn't funny. Neither is this for that matter. d'oh.

Phil's doing fine. He's better than the flailing incompetence displayed by most of the writers at AICN (pretty much everyone except Drew). Sure, he's no Nick, but Nicks don't grow on trees.

Yeah, Drew writes good articles. He also writes really shitty scripts.

The headline should say ON TO not INTO, unless Indiana Jones is literally going to swing through my house and smash into the TV.

@ Wermstrom
He might! He thought that was closer, after all.

"Owen- Your ideas aren't terrible, but you need better editing. At least for the sake of clarity." SECONDED
"And please drop any anal-rape reference. Who are you trying to be anyway? Harry Knowles?" DISAGREE MORE ANAL RAPE

This article "screams" like some AiCN news item from the late 90's. You don't like Indy, we "geddit"... Honestly, your opinion doesn't matter all that much and at least with Nick & Devins's stuff you know it's usually tounge-in-cheek funny/darkly-written...This was just awful to read. Awful.

I never realized that all CHUD readers had become English 103 teachers. Is anyone grasping concepts here or purely structure?
