KEVIN J O'CONNOR SAYS 'YO JOE'

I just got off the phone with the great Kevin J. O'Connor, talking about his turn as Henry Brands in There Will Be Blood for the upcoming DVD release, and he revealed to me that his streak in Stephen Sommers movies has not yet come to an end - he will be in GI Joe.It's going to be a really small part - a cameo, in fact - in a flashback scene. O'Connor wouldn't spill much, but he did say that he plays a scientist. Anybody out there have the script and maybe an idea what this scene could be?
O'Connor has already filmed his bit, and he says that other Sommers regulars may be appearing as well. When I say the cameo is small, I mean it - O'Connor said he wondered why they would have him in for such a quick bit of business, but then he compared it to the Bruce Campbell cameos in the Spider-Man movies. Further proof that Kevin J. O'Connor fucking gets it.
Look for my full interview very soon. The guy was a delight to talk with.

Dr. Mindbender perhaps? Hope not as that would mean serpentors stupid ass might be in it as well. I'm a huge fan of the toys, started getting them in 83 by golly. Read the marvel series till around issue 65. Saw every episode. When I heard about such a fundamental change as giving snake eyes a "vow of silence" instead of keeping with the MUCH better "damaged vocal chords from helicopter explosion and saving scarlett while his head was on fire" idea, well it just makes me sad. Such a easy home run piece of writing and they throw it all away. Glad Park and Vosloo are in it though.

Still not interested in this movie... but if Scarlett has a nude scene, I'll think about going.

I don't know which reviewer here said they didn't like the Mummy, I thought it was a great pulp style film, certainly better than Peter Jackson's stuff on King Kong. KJO and Fraser's back and forth was the thing that kept the mummy fun and alive.

That's all well and good, but I want Lord of Illusion stories. Seriously, though, where else but Chud could I look forward to a decent interview with Kevin J. O Connor?

I don't really know who all these characters are. Then again I put away my toys when I turned thirteen.

If you don't know who the characters are, are you either over 40 or just have too poor of a memory to remember names of characters from your childhood? If you need help with your memory, there is always the Joe Johnson memory system.

There will be blood? Pfft. Kevin's role in Van Helsing was just masterful. Van helsing is one of those movies that comes along once a hundred years.

To #9, curses come around once every hundred years.

I want this to outdo Transformers in terms of sheer senseless bombast and insanity, so I'm holding out hope that this is secretly a straight, deadpan remake of the cartoon movie. In that case, O'Connor could be one of the scientists who puts Serpentor together!

I don't know how or why so many supposed fans of G.I. Joe could hate Serpentor so much. IMO he was 1 of the most coolest and important characters of the G.I. Joe mythology regardless of how he came about. He's an over the top character which might've took away from the realism of G.I. Joe but was kind of needed in the COBRA Organziation to keep them in check and make sure their missions were somewhat carried out. Of course G.I. Joe always ultimately won in the end but at least he made COBRA appear as more of a threat and made them go out with a fight. A lot of CC dick riders didn't like him but if you ask me CC was a pussy and more of a complex character who was selfish and in it more for himself and his own personal reasons while Serpentor played more of the ultimate villain who was in it for 1 thing and thats COBRA having overall power over anything and anyone. If they follow the comic story arc hopefully they inertwine Transformers and G.I. Joe story together like they did in the comics. that would be very interesting bc Serpentor actually becomes Megatron's son and turns into Serpent O.R. Prime. I think that would be pretty awesome in the ultimate good vs evil battle of G.I. Joe/Autobots vs Cobra/Decepticons.
