Hey look, another screening! One I think ought to please you crazy sons o' guns. Semi Pro, the latest Will Ferrell comedy. The premise? Scroll, baby! Will Ferrell stars in Semi-Pro, an outrageous comedy set in 1976 against the backdrop of the maverick ABA – a fast-paced, wild and crazy basketball league that rivaled the NBA and made a name for itself with innovations like the three-point shot and slam dunk contest. Ferrell plays Jackie Moon, a one-hit wonder who used the profits from the success of his chart-topping song “Love Me Sexy” to achieve his dream of owning a basketball team. But Moon’s franchise, the Flint Michigan Tropics, is the worst team in the league and in danger of folding when the ABA announces its plans to merge with the NBA. If they want to survive, Jackie and the Tropics must now do the seemingly impossible – win. Semi-Pro co-stars Woody Harrelson (Anger Management, White Men Can’t Jump), Will Arnett (Blades of Glory, “Arrested Development”), Andre Benjamin (Four Brothers, music group Outkast), Rob Corddry, Maura Tierney, Josh Braaten, DeRay Davis, Jay Phillips, Jackie Earle Haley and Andy Richter. The film is written by Scot Armstrong (Old School), directed by Kent Alterman, produced by Jimmy Miller.
Here's how to get a chance at a pass:
Using the corresponding link below and including your mailing address answer the following questions:
1. What sport are you best at? In a perfect world with a few lucky breaks what sport could you possibly have had a chance at making your profession? If there isn't one, which would you choose?
2. Jackie Earle Haley is in this film. Before Little Children he was AWOL, a greasy 80's memory. What other performer who has been out of work deserves another chance?
3. A week into the redesign, are you starting to get a grip on the new site, especially as we tweak and fix?

1. The sport that I'm best at is slow pitch softball. The sport that I believe that I would have had a chance of making it in the pro's would have been baseball or football. I was good in both sports in HS and College.
2. The performers that I believe deserves another chance in the movie industry would be Wesley Snipes. To bad that he had to leave the country. I hear that it was do to some financial problems with Big Brother "IRS". The second performer that I believe deserves another chance is Debra Winger. I can't remember what the last movie was that she started/co-stared or even played in.
3. I am new to the site. I believe that this will be a good site once everybody finds out about it. I will help spread the word!
Thanks for giving me an opportunity to express myself and possible win a pass to see this movie. Man, Will Farrell will keep a person laughing! He's a NUT!!

My dream profession? Leading outdoor adventure excursions: hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, camping.

Racquetball. I could have been a professional soccer player assuming the 10000 or more professionals decided against soccer.
I'd say Adam West should get a movie to shine in.
The site seems more user friendly.
