LA’s New Beverly Cinema continues its amazing run of guest programmers this February with a mini-festival from Brick and The Brothers Bloom writer/director Rian Johnson. This is a pretty exciting festival for a couple of reasons: it has a tight theme and it’s going to be showing The Brothers Bloom months early.

Yup, Rian will be showing his con man movie – which I fucking loved and will probably see a third time at this fest – as the opening movie. And then after that he’ll be showing a whole passel of con man type movies. And Rian will (I’m assuming) be on hand to introduce them, so this is a pretty good chance to get your Brick slang guides signed and on to eBay.

Here’s the line-up of films. I’ll be at as many of these as schedules allow:

February 18 & 19
The Brothers Bloom
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

February 20 & 21
House of Games
The Spanish Prisoner

February 22 & 23
The Sting
The Man Who Would Be King

February 25 & 26
F For Fake
8 1/2

February 27 & 28
The Lady Eve
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen

Side note: Penitentiary 2 and Petey Wheatstraw, The Devil’s Son in Law are playing on the 24th. Not part of Rian’s program, but totally fucking awesome movies to see on the big screen with a crowd.
