Von Trier and co. aren’t interested in easing anybody in to the idea of the director’s sex epic it seems, and our first still is no boring still of Gainsbourgh looking mopey in a hoodie or whatever. Nope, this still from the film has our lady topless, seemingly ready to get down with two gentleman happy to oblige.
This is definitely an aggressive, provoking image to start out with, suggesting Von Trier will be pushing every button his fingers can reach with this one. I’m sure we can expect looks at some of the other cast members liks Stellan Skarsgaard, Shia Labeouf, Jamie Bell, Willem Dafoe, Christian Slater, and Uma Thurman soon enough. Since there’s absolutely nothing stopping him from going harder, I wonder if the above pic is as raunchy as the promos will get, or just the beginning.
Man, I really hope there will be a good movie at the center of all the provocation and controversy and indulgence that will storm around whatever Von Trier actually cuts together and puts out.
