Don’t call it a comeback, but 2013 looks to be the year that Netflix reminds everyone why –despite some stock slumps and customer service stumbles in the last year or two– it’s still Big Red serving up twice as much video as YouTube every day, twenty times as much as Hulu, and sixty times as much as HBOgo.
Even as promotions gear up for their major original series like House Of Cards, Hemlock Grove, and the return of Arrested Development, and the ink just barely dries on their major Disney deal, Netflix isn’t done. Today they announce a deal with Warner Brother Television that will bring the hit show Dallas to the service, and, more importantly to us 90s kids, a whole slew of cartoon content from Cartoon Network, Warner Brothers Animation, and Adult Swim.
Yep, that means shows like Adventure Time, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Boondocks, Johnny Bravo, Regular Show and more will be on the instant watch service soon. One can only hope that will mean things like Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, Pinky & The Brain, and so many more will be coming as well- there’s not a full list of breakdown yet. This all hits on March 30th, so start planning out your spring weekends for cartoon binging…
Oh yeah, and the new Dallas is part of the deal too.
