I’m still way intrigued. I heard the hyper-polarized buzz that I both expected and wanted from TIFF, and this trailer (which briefly leaked online before) still promises the kind of beautifully composed, batshit weirdness that I’m looking for. I want Zombie unrestrained, out of his mind, and if we can divide that by the usual redneck hysterics, all the better. I think Zombie’s collaboration with D.P. Brandon Trost is proving a fruitful one- there’s some gorgeous, Kubrickian shots in this trailer that should make for a poetically weird viewing experience if nothing else.
Anchor Bay has possession of the film and is planning a release next year.
